RECENTLY THERE WAS A MASSIVE BUST IN LOS ANGELES—A TOTAL OF 474 ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE. IN ADDITION TO THIS:
142 males have been charged with solicitation
36 males are under the suspicion of pimping28 sexually exploited children were rescued27 adult victims were rescued
The bust was carried out by the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, as well as about 30 other federal agencies. The release said:
Operation Reclaim and Rebuild focused on rescuing victims of sexual slavery and human trafficking, providing victims with much needed services, identifying and arresting their captors, seeking successful prosecutions, and disrupting the demand for vulnerable victims by targeting their customers.
