The US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has now approved a plot to release genetically modified, bacteria infected, self destructing mosquitoes in 20 US states and Washington, D.C. This comes after years of spraying pesticide over cities to “fight Zika” and similiar smallerexperiments with infected mosquitoes. You’d think people would be weary of this considering the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiments.. but public school didn’t mention that. The mosquitoes are alleged to carry a bacteria that kills mosquitoes known to carry disease. The EPA officially registered a company named MosquitoMate’s “Asian Tiger mosquito,” endowing them with a 5 year license to sell their mosquitoes in 20 states.
According to Nature: “On 3 November, the agency told biotechnology start-up MosquitoMate that it could release the bacterium Wolbachia pipientis into the environment as a tool against the Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus). Lab-reared mosquitoes will deliver the bacterium to wild mosquito populations.
The decision — which the EPA has not formally announced — allows the company, which is based in Lexington, Kentucky, to release the bacteria-infected mosquitoes in 20 US states and Washington DC.” The plan is to have the modified mosquitoes release Wolbachia-infected A. albopictus male mosquitoes into the wild population, to reproduce with wild females and kill the fertilized eggs due to bad chromosomes. According to Activist Post: “Stephen Dobson, an entomologist at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and founder of MosquitoMate, told Nature that other species of mosquito and other insects are not harmed by the release of the lab mosquitoes. Dobson also stated that MosquitoMate plans to begin selling the mosquitoes locally in Lexington, Kentucky and then from there expand to nearby cities. The EPA’s decision came after the US Food and Drug Administration approved the release of genetically engineered mosquitoes designed to prevent the spread of the Zika virus. The FDA’s approval was in relation to a field test of genetically modified mosquitoes engineered by the British biotechnology company Oxitec.” The company creating the genetically modified mosquitoes is being referred to as a “start-up,” or some kind of small, new business. A brief investigation suggests that is anything but the truth. Prestigious universities are the root of centralized science, or worse, weaponized science. In this case, the University of Kentucky, Lexington is the root of the company MosquitoMate, and another power may have funded the company into existence. According to MosquitoMate’s website: “MosquitoMate, Inc., a Lexington, KY based company, is a privately-held biotechnology company. Founded on Intellectual Property developed at the University of Kentucky, Department of Entomology, MosquitoMate’s leadership and scientific teams are recognized worldwide for their innovation in mosquito control and for their ability to deliver biotechnology-based solutions for mosquito abatement districts, municipalities and consumers.”
Recently, the US government gave a grant of 500,000$ to the University of Kentucky, Lexington, through the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). According to IPM: “Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) announced support for projects to help bridge the gap between biotechnology innovations and the policies on how to use them. These grants are funded through NIFA’s Biotechnology Risk Assessment Research Grants (BRAG) Program. “Biotechnology offers innovative tools to address the problem of ensuring a safe, nutritious food supply,” said NIFA Director Sonny Ramaswamy. “It is imperative that we help policymakers understand these tools and base their policy decisions on high-quality science and evidence.”” So US government grants might be the reason MosquitoMate exists, even though they claim to be a “start-up.” Source:
