A man named James Hunter created a video where he said he felt Barron Trump might be autistic. After Rosie O’Donnell shared it and made it go viral, she has now found herself on the receiving end of a lawsuit, and the video will be taken down, per Conservative 101.
Melania Trump and her lawyer, Charles J. Harder, questioned the motives behind the video, claiming the video created more problems than it solved.
“The video allegedly seeks to ‘stop the bullying’ of Barron Trump. Not true…The video did instigate further bullying by Rosie O’Donnell and others,” Harder said.
“This law firm represents First Lady-elect Melania Trump and her ten-year-old son, Barron Trump. A video was posted on YouTube recently speculating that Barron might be autistic. He is not,” Harder continued. Hunter is now claiming he is autistic himself, and this is all a misunderstanding.
“This video will be deleted in 24 hours, and I will publish a full retraction and apology to Melania and Barron Trump,” Hunter promised. One can only hope that he does, and it would be wise for Rosie O’Donnell to follow suit. Frankly, I’m not holding my breath.
“I never ever meant this as a bullying video. As someone who was diagnosed at age five and has gone through bullying myself, I would NEVER do something like that. I made this because I truly believed Barron was on the spectrum, and I wanted people to stop bullying him over his ‘weird’ behavior and explain to them that it might actually be due to a condition.”
Hunter continued on to say, “I have a great respect for [Melania] and her family. I never meant to hurt anyone.”
Rosie O’Donnell has admitted time and time again that she loathes Donald Trump, but she has repeatedly insisted she wasn’t trolling the future first family. Her attempts at damage control just seem to be making the situation worse.
O’Donnell said she only made the comments on the video in regards to her own daughter’s autism diagnosis, and then she overcorrected even further after she had a run-in with Melania in New York City.
Believe it or not, she actually claimed that Barron was “angelic” and compared him to his older sister, Ivanka. Needless to say, it didn’t score her any brownie points, and it is increasingly evident who is truly apologetic over this situation.
It is Mr. Hunter, not Rosie. One can only hope she gets hit pretty hard in the pocketbook because of her habit of running that liberal mouth of hers.
