President Xi Jinping has promised to fight terrorist activity after deaths of national Fan Jinghui and European Ole Johan Grimsgaard-Ofstad.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a statement that ‘"China will strengthen cooperation with the international community, resolutely crack down on violent terrorist operations that devastate innocent lives and safeguard world peace and security." As quoted by the Mirror.
The president also instructed the relevant departments to increase security ‘outside Chinese borders.’
After ISIS showed the picture of the shot man, and the attacks on its citizens, the Chinese president condemned the ‘cruel and savage’ attacks of the terror group.
China had strongly denounced the Islamist militants and had urged the international community to increase its cooperation in fighting the Islamic State even though it hadn’t openly joined operations in Syria and Iraq where ISIS operates.
Three Chinese citizens were killed in Mali at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako at 21 November after terrorists storemed the building. 27 people were killed before Malian commandos to in the building and free 170 hostages.

The attack was by the militant group Al Mourabitoun and al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). The group is led by Yahya Abou el-Hammam, has pledged alligence with IS.
Xi condemned the Mali attacks as "cruel and savage" saying:
"With no regard for human conscience and moral baseline, the terrorist organisation still carried out this cold-blooded and violent action.
The Chinese government strongly condemns this inhuman action and will definitely hold the perpetrators accountable."
